As environmentally conscious people, we know and appreciate the peace, relaxation, and freshness of a healthy mixed forest. We strengthen our immune systems and our health simply by breathing deeply during a walk in the woods.

Right now, the world's largest and fastest deforestation in history is taking place. That's why the married couple Gernot and Tanja Fröhlich have decided to launch the Bras D'Or - touch wood project, dedicated solely to restoring these oases of well-being and creating new paradises for plants, animals, and humans.

With the first land acquisition in 2022/23, we have already laid the necessary foundations to start this year. By acquiring the first 150,000 m2 of newly cleared boreal coniferous forest, we can create the first permanent forest area here on Cape Breton Island around Bras d'Or Lake.

The contribution of 50 cents a day enables us to manually plant various hardwood and coniferous trees in hard-to-reach areas.
